“The World Baseball Academy is invaluable to the Fort Wayne community. The kids may enter the dugout as kids, but they leave as leaders.

“People in Fort Wayne should rally around the campaign to raise money for the WBA because the WBA is a separator, a difference maker for the young people of Fort Wayne.”

Eric Wedge,

MLB Manager, Seattle Mariners

Our 9 to 14-year-old age brackets have been developed to create a positive, competitive environment for emerging baseball players and teams. Our goal for this age bracket is to host events that help build the character of young athletes on and off the field in a fun, competitive baseball tournament setting.   Our 15 to 18-year-old tournaments have been taking place for well over a decade and continue to attract collegiate coaches and professional scouts. Our high school-aged events draw in well over 30+ universities and pro scouts throughout the summer events.

Age Requirements

The Hoosier Classic Baseball Tournaments are following the age guidelines that have been implemented by the majority of youth baseball organizations. Whatever age the player is on April 30 dictates their age for that particular baseball season.

For example, if Billy is 14 years of age on April 30, 2019, then Billy will be considered a 14-year-old for the entire baseball season.

Clarification: If Billy turns 15 years of age on April 30, 2019 or before, then Billy is considered a 15-year-old for the entire baseball season. If Billy turns 15 years of age on May 1, 2019 or after, then Billy is still considered a 14-year-old for the entire baseball season.
